The RMSP Summer Intensive was an amazing experience for me. From the day I was accepted into the program, the RMSP team cultivated a strong sense of community among the students online. When we all finally came together for our 6 weeks of intensive learning, the community building excelled further still. I feel that this approach was an important foundation to my entire experience. It created a comfortable environment for asking questions, asking for help and expressing myself. The instructors and assistants went above and beyond to make sure I was developing a full understanding throughout every stage of the process. The staff are patient, supportive and inclusive. Everyone at RMSP emanates a genuine drive to teach others. They are highly proficient in the material they teach and each instructor brings their own inspiring
style into the classroom which makes learning engaging and fun.

I went in with goals of becoming a more intentional photographer, further developing my technical skills and diving deeper into Lightroom. I came away with all of this and so much more. The classes are like building blocks that helped me become more proficient in what I already knew, but also leveled me up with new skills and technical workflows that took the guessing out of my photography and replaced it with time to be more creative and intentional. I learned the ins & outs of my camera and how to utilize it’s capabilities and improved my editing skills by leaps and bounds. I feel more creatively motivated than ever and I now have the confidence and skills to accomplish the images I set out to create.

The experience of having people come from all over, that hail from different walks of life, converging in one place to learn about something they share a passion for, is something very special, an energy that is indescribable. RMSP is a space where learning, camaraderie and connection thrive and this energy continues on even after Summer Intensive is over. I am very grateful for the friendships I’ve made, the opportunity to invest in myself and all of the knowledge I carry with me every time I pick up my camera.
