Alicia Watkinson is an interdisciplinary artist living in both the negative and positive space while learning how to name it. Through the use of photography, she pursues moments and monuments to time past, a look at what has been lost and what still remains. Her photography journey began at RMSP in 2010, taking a Basic Photography weekend course, where she then began a decade long mentorship with cofounder Neil Chaput de Saintonge. Through the simple and the abstract, whether through sculpture, photography, or gestures on paper - her work provides a vessel for emotional expression and a translation of experience into visual terms.
