Basic Photography in Texas - 2013
When I signed up for the Basic Photography Workshop in Fredericksburg, Texas, I was so nervous about going because I really didn’t know what to expect or what would be expected of me. From the first moment of meeting my instructors, Lynn Hoffman-Brouse and Nate Schmidt, I could tell that I would be in good hands and I was going to learn a lot. We were a small class and a great group of people, who all were fun and contributed so much during our week together.
Our instructors were nothing short of amazing. They challenged us all with assignments and critiques and helped us in the field tremendously. They offered their advice from composition to camera settings and everything in between. Also, in the classroom we were given a great deal of information and Lynn and Nate were more than willing to answer questions and help us with our different cameras and settings.
The field shoots were well thought out and offered an array of opportunities to capture some great photographs. Even though our schedules were demanding, we had plenty of time to enjoy our surroundings and were able to take in some other sights in the area.
I am so excited with my new level of photography that I can’t wait to sign up for another workshop soon to learn more. And next time I won’t be so worried about what to expect!
