Where We Go: Join Tim Cooper and Lynn Hoffman- Brouse for an exhilarating week of photography instruction on top of the world. At least it feels that way when you’re surrounded by 13,000-foot peaks amid mountains known as America’s Alps. Your base for the week is the photogenic mountain town of Ouray, Colorado (elevation: 8,000 feet). From there, you venture into Yankee Boy Basin, Black Bear and California Passes, the Million Dollar Highway, and multiple backcountry excursions in specially designed 4x4 vehicles.

What You Learn: No matter how many times you’ve been to Colorado, or even if you live there, you’ve never experienced it quite like this. Every location is awe-inspiring, steeped in history, and dripping with photographic potential. With their different photographic backgrounds, Cooper and Hoffman-Brouse offer a glimpse into their own unique perspective and creative process. Classroom lectures, held during the harsh light of midday, cover topics such as Zone system for color, macro techniques, creative flower photography, and landscape composition. Field shoots give you time to practice these new techniques, with Cooper and Hoffman-Brouse available to assist. Group critiques offer instructor feedback before the next shoot.
