Where We Go: Tim Cooper thinks of the photographic art form as a three-step process. He visualizes a scene in his mind, captures an image after deciding on the exposure and composition, and then enhances the image using Adobe Photoshop® until the finished product mirrors what he saw in his mind’s eye. For Tim and many photographers today, using Photoshop has become the preferred method of applying the finishing touches to their digital images. During this workshop, he introduces you to the software’s powerful image-editing capabilities as well as his own post-capture workflow.
What You Learn: Having worked with Photoshop since its introduction, Tim has the innate ability to look at an image and know which areas benefit from adjustment and how to make the enhancements. During this week, you can expect to gain an understanding of working with adjustment layers, pixel-bearing layers and masks while utilizing the vast array of selection tools available. Additionally, Tim covers Photoshop’s alpha channels and provides tips on establishing a workflow so you can speed up the editing process. He provides in-depth discussions on photographic composition and how beneficial it can be to the Photoshop user.
Who Should Attend: This course is for the photographer with a solid working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop who wishes to learn more about the program’s image enhancement possibilities. Participants who have completed Photoshop for Photographers are encouraged to attend.
