Where We Go: Long recognized as a land of inspiration and rejuvenation for artists of all genres, Sedona, Arizona, and the surrounding areas have been especially kind to photographers. Landscape photographer Tim Cooper guides you through the nearby river canyons, hiking trails and sites of Indian ruins while providing an opportunity for you to connect with and develop your own artistic vision.
What You Learn: Whether you are pointing your camera at one of the magnificent red-rock monoliths in the area (with names like Coffeepot, Cathedral and Thunder Mountain) or capturing the dynamic displays of weather that are common here, you spend time challenging yourself and improving your technique. During the week, Tim lectures on creativity and personal style—as well as establishing your own digital workflow, organizing your images and learning to visualize a photograph before you create it. On field shoots, Tim gives you one-on-one attention and answers any questions you may have—while encouraging you to think more in-depth about how you create images. Constructive critique sessions provide valuable insight on ways you can improve.
Who Should Attend: This workshop is for advanced photographers. Film cameras are welcome, however only digital images can be critiqued.
This workshop begins Sunday at 1 p.m. and ends Friday evening.
“What a wonderful experience! Learned more than I can describe and enjoyed the supportive environment.” – Laura V., California
