Confirmation
If your profile contains an email address, you will receive an immediate email message confirming your registration.
The message will include links to information on our website specific to the Photo Weekend for which you have registered.
If you do not provide an email address, you may call our office to confirm your registration and request that additional
information be mailed to you.
Waiting Lists
Many of our Photo Weekends sell out ahead of time so we suggest you register early. If an event is sold out and you
have not registered, be sure to contact our office via email or phone to add your name and phone number(s) to the
list. We always receive cancellations and will contact people on the waiting list each time we receive a cancellation
up until 5 p.m. MST on the Friday before the weekend. Email weekends@rmsp.com or call
(800) 394-7677 to add your name to a waiting list.
Meals
Participants are on their own for lunch. We try to suggest convenient lunch options and will include this information
in the Venue Details
button for each event. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch.
Parking
We strive to find convenient parking at little or no cost, however there are occasions when free parking is not available.
Please know that we have done our best to keep your costs low. For parking information on the event you plan to attend,
see the Venue Details
link for that city.
Hotel Accommodations
For those of you who need overnight accommodations, we have blocked a limited number of rooms at each location for Friday and
Saturday nights at a special group rate. For more information on rates and cutoff dates, see the
Venue Details
link for the event you plan to attend. Plan to make your hotel reservation at least 30 days in advance to receive the group
rate.
What to Bring
You may find it helpful to bring your camera if you choose to take Photography Basics I or Photography Basics II. Please
bring note-taking materials as most people take notes throughout the weekend. Hand-held audio recorders are perfectly
acceptable. And remember to bring your digital image if you would like to submit it for the critique session.
Critique Session
Sunday’s critique session is an opportunity for you to have one of your images considered for inclusion in the live
group critique. This session is intended to be an educational experience that benefits the entire group as you hear
feedback on a diverse selection of images. Our instructors will offer constructive tips and suggestions that best
illustrate concepts that have been introduced over the course of the weekend. Rather than submitting your best,
award-winning shot, you might consider submitting an image that didn’t turn out quite the way you had hoped. We will
get through as many images as time allows, however, it is not always possible to get through all of the images that
are submitted.
All critiques are anonymous. If you choose to participate in the critique session, you may submit one image. Your
image should be a digital copy in large JPEG format, ideally five to ten megabytes. We are not able to accept prints
or slides. You will be asked to submit your image at the registration table on Saturday afternoon. If you submit a
CD or other storage device please label it with your name and be sure to pick it up before you leave. Please be aware
that RMSP is not responsible for lost or damaged images, discs or external storage devices.
Cancellation Policy
Tuition is refunded in full minus a $25 processing fee (per participant) if you notify RMSP at least five business days
before the event. If your cancellation is received fewer than five days prior to the program, full tuition is retained
by RMSP. No refunds are given for cancellations or no-shows after the program is in progress. Refunds will be processed
within 30 days after our office receives notice of cancellation.
