Lightroom for Photographers - 2010
As an outdoor photographer and travel writer, I have used Lightroom almost since its initial release to touch up and catalog my photos. I knew the program was powerful, but I didn’t know just how powerful until I attended a Weekend with Rocky Mountain School of Photography. I learned so much from David Marx’s two hour Introduction to Lightroom that I immediately made plans to attend the weeklong Lightroom for Photographers class offered in Missoula. Am I ever pleased that I did!
An outstanding and patient instructor, David’s knowledge of Lightroom is encyclopedic, and he obviously enjoys teaching. Our class was small and included photographers of all levels of experience. Every day included hands-on experience, working with less-than-perfect images to bring out their hidden beauty.
Best of all, every day there were revelations about Lightroom tools and shortcuts that made the course a terrific investment. The time saving approaches alone were worth all that I paid for the course!
Missoula was a great place to visit, and I enjoyed the opportunity to meet some of the staff of RMSP. During breaks I was able to meet with students enrolled in this and other courses, and made new friends that share my photographic interests. Many discussed other classes they had experienced at RMSP, whetting my appetite to return for more classes!
