Gallery: Rocky Mountain School of Photography
Dates: December 2, 2011 – February 29, 2012
Reception: December 2, 5-8 p.m.
Rocky Mountain School of Photography Gallery is pleased to announce Emerging, a group photography exhibit
featuring work by the 2011 graduating class of Rocky Mountain School of Photography’s Advanced Intensive course. An opening reception
will be held at the RMSP Gallery in conjunction with Missoula's First Friday art walk on Friday December 2, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. Many
of the participating artists will be in attendance. The exhibit will remain on display through February 2012.
Aptly titled, Emerging showcases not only the individual graduates, but also what RMSP makes possible through
its world-renowned Career Training program. The photographers featured in Emerging have recently completed at least six weeks of intensive
photography training and are now embarking on the pursuit of careers and lives as photographers in the specialties of wedding, portraiture,
food, product, nature and studio photography. Arriving in Missoula, Montana from around the country and the world with varying degrees of
photographic knowledge, these artists benefitted from the Career Training program’s 24 years of existence, learned from 18 of the industry's
top educators, engaged in hands-on learning six days a week, and formed lasting friendships and valuable business connections in the process.
They are tomorrow's professionals. They are emerging.
Each piece in the exhibit will be on sale for $100. All proceeds will go to the artists.
Please join us at the RMSP Gallery for an opening reception on Friday, December 2nd, 5-8pm.
