The Essence of Summer

Summer always moves too fast. By the time you are finally accustom to the longer days and jam-packed weekends you realize that it is July 16th and you are half way through the summer months. One way to stop and enjoy the summer around you is to photograph it. I’m not just talking about the sunset or the backyard snapshots, I’m talking about the essence, the details of summer. Photograph the things that make you think of summer. Photograph the quintessential elements – lemonade, kids swimming in the lake, picnics, a field of tall grasses–any of the things you close your eyes and think about during the dead of winter. This is a perfect way to celebrate and enjoy the sunny season before the leaves begin to change and the chill hits the air.
