Course: Macro Photography
RMSP never disappoints.
To date I have taken six workshops from RMSP starting with Basic Photography and working through to Advanced.
From there I added both foundation and workshops, ending most recently with the Macro Photography workshop
taught by Elizabeth Stone and Tony Rizzuto.
The level of commitment exhibited by every instructor is incredibly consistent. They have a passion to help you
improve and throughout the five days it is clear their goal is for you to leave, not only as a better photographer,
but with the tools to continue to improve your work long after the class has ended.
One of the most valuable, yet sometimes nerve-wracking parts of the workshop were the critiques. However, viewing
the work of others, seeing how they interpreted a location shoot and hearing the instructors' suggestions quickly
became one of my favorite parts of the class. Make no mistake; these are called "work-" shops for a reason. You
live, eat, breath and think about photography for five solid days. Between location and studio shoots, classroom
lectures (always informative AND entertaining), critiques, and editing there is barely a minute to spare.
The talented people that surround you in the classroom enhance the entire atmosphere. Through RMSP I have met
other like-minded creative photographers, which over the years have become friends and even joined me in other
workshops.
RMSP is a community of which I'm proud to be a member.
