Where We Go: In 2010 we will be taking our popular Basic Photography workshop “On the Road” to the Texas Hill Country. While the locations you shoot will be different then those in Missoula, the curriculum remains the same. Learning the right way to use your SLR is an important first step in your photography education. Knowing how to photograph in manual mode unlocks your camera’s potential as well as your own creativity. Our instructors help you establish a solid foundation from which you can build for years to come.
What You Learn: This weeklong workshop allows you to begin to make sense of your SLR. You are encouraged to learn through trial and error and by asking questions in a supportive environment. Classroom lectures teach you f-stops, shutter speeds and the relationship between the two. In addition, your instructor introduces you to fundamental composition techniques, the difference between file formats, equipment basics and how to transfer images to your computer. Our instructors make sure no question goes unanswered as you begin to use your camera to make your images come to life.
Who Should Attend: This workshop is for beginning photographers and those who wish to learn how to photograph in manual mode. Film cameras are welcome, however only digital images can be critiqued.
IN MISSOULA: We also offer our popular Basic Photography workshop in Missoula! It's a great way to visit Montana and solidify your photography skills.
This workshop begins Saturday at 7 p.m. and ends Friday at noon.
