Where We Go: You have been photographing for years with your film camera and have created many wonderful images. But, after making the switch to a digital camera, you don’t feel as confident as you once did. If you can relate to this, or if you feel like you aren’t taking full advantage of your digital camera’s capabilities, don’t worry—you’re not alone. Tim Cooper educates you on the advantages of embracing digital photography, from camera to computer to printer. During the week, you explore downtown Missoula and visit the nearby Rattlesnake Wilderness as well as the Mission Mountains.

What You Learn: The goal of this class is to make you a more knowledgeable and confident digital photographer. While on location, Tim answers your questions and helps you understand the features of your digital SLR including white balance and the histogram. Returning to the digital classroom, you learn how to transfer images onto a computer and use Adobe Lightroom® to crop, straighten, adjust your exposure and colors, and develop a workflow that fits your needs. Tim also shows you how to use Lightroom to sort, rate, keyword and label your images, further increasing your efficiency. Finally, you learn to create high-quality prints through the use of Lightroom’s powerful Develop and Print modules.

Who Should Attend: This class is for experienced photographers who have made, or are interested in making, the transition to digital photography.

This workshop begins Sunday at 9 a.m. and ends Friday at 5 p.m.
