Where We Go: Charleston has served as the backdrop for some of America’s most pivotal events, including the first shot of the Civil War. Today, this history is visible around every corner throughout the city. Commonly named a “Top 10” destination in the U.S. by Conde Nast Traveler, the architecture, springtime color and natural beauty found here are truly magnificent. During the week you visit Magnolia Plantation, home to the oldest public gardens in the country, and Audubon Swamp, where 224 species of birds thrive while alligators cruise the backwater.

What You Learn: Tony and Elizabeth join forces on this workshop to help you push your photography to new heights while sharing plenty of laughs. With a relaxed but goal-oriented approach, the duo provides lectures on topics such as using depth of field to enhance your creativity, exposure for digital and film cameras, and macro techniques. While in the field, both instructors make sure you get individual attention, ensuring you leave with a heightened understanding of the topics covered as well as more confidence in your abilities.

Who Should Attend: Photographers of all levels are welcome. You should be comfortable with the manual exposure operation of your camera. Both digital images and 35 mm slides can be critiqued.

This workshop begins Sunday at 1 p.m. and ends Friday evening.
