General Information

Confirmation If you register for an event online and your profile contains an email address, you will receive an immediate email message confirming your registration. The message will also have details about the event you are attending. If you do not provide an email address, confirmation letters will be sent by request only.
Correspondence Three weeks prior to each event, RMSP will email a welcome letter to participants. This letter highlights information such as venue location, parking and lunch ideas. If we have an email address on file, you will receive your letter electronically. If not, we will mail it to you. If you do not receive a letter prior to the event, you can find the same information by clicking on the ‘Details’ button for your event.
Waiting Lists Many of our Weekend events sell out ahead of time so we suggest you register early. We suggest you register early. If an event is sold out and you have not registered be sure to contact our office via email or phone to add your name and phone number(s) to the waiting list. We always receive cancellations and will contact people on the waiting list each time we receive a cancellation up until 5 p.m. MST on the Friday before the Weekend. Email weekends@rmsp.com or call (800) 394-7677 to add your name to a waiting list.
Meals Participants are on their own for lunch. We will suggest convenient lunch options. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch.
Parking We strive to find convenient parking at little or no cost. There are occasions when free parking is not possible. Please know that we have done our best to keep your costs low. We will provide parking instructions in your welcome letter and will to the best of our ability, inform you of any fees.
Hotel Accommodations For those of you who need overnight accommodations, we have blocked a limited number of rooms at each location for Friday and Saturday nights at a special group rate. See the details button under the event you plan to attend for more information on rates and cutoff dates. Make sure to indicate that you are with Rocky Mountain School of Photography when making your reservation.
What to Bring We will provide you with note-taking materials when you check in. Hand-held audio recorders are perfectly acceptable. The only occasion for which you might want to bring your camera is if you choose to take Photography Basics in session one, but it is not necessary.
Critique Session Sunday’s critique session is an opportunity for you to have your work critiqued by professionals. Our instructors will comment on your images and offer practical, constructive tips and suggestions. All critiques are anonymous. If you choose to participate in the critique session, you may bring up to 2 of your images. Time and the number in attendance will dictate how many images will be critiqued. Images should be digital copies submitted in large JPEG format, ideally 5 to 10 MB (we will not be able to accept prints or slides). You will be asked to submit your images at the registration table on Saturday afternoon. Please label your CD or other storage device with your name and be sure to pick it up before you leave.
